Malaysia is situated right in the heart of South East Asia and sits between Thailand and Singapore. Malaysia is a federation of 13 states and consists of two geographical regions, which separated by the South China Sea. The West Malaysia, also known as Peninsular Malaysia consists of 11 states such as Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Perlis, Selangor , Terengganu and Kuala Lumpur Territory, while the East Malaysia occupies Sabah and Sarawak. The combined land area of both regions is about 330,400 sq km (127,000 sq miles). Malaysia has three federal territories, which, Kuala Lumpur the capital city is the largest federal territory, followed by two others, Labuan and Putrajaya.
